CONSECRATION 2010
The time has come for us to offer ourselves to God as a united family of believers. Beginning on the 15th day of January until the 14th day of February, we will fast, pray and consecrate ourselves before the Lord. Malachi 3:3 states, “And he shall sit [as] a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.” This period shall be called a time of purification. Purification in the Old Testament meant a person became clean, began to shine, and became bright. In the New Testament, purify indicates freedom from the defilement of sin and from faults. It must be clearly understood that WE ARE NOT the purifiers. Jesus Christ is the purifier. Titus 2:14 says, “Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.” We are the consecrators. There are several definitions of consecration. For this time of purification we will focus on two aspects of consecration. In Numbers 6:12, a Nazarite is commanded to consecrate himself; the Hebrew meaning of consecrate is to separate and dedicate. In Malachi 3:3, the Hebrew interpretation of consecration is to satisfy, or to fill, as in fill the hand.
It is the work of the consecrator to separate and dedicate him/herself, and fill the hand or occupy their time with godly things. The greatest benefits of fasting and praying are experienced when we do this. God is eager to purify what we separate and dedicate to Him.
January 15th
Beginning sunrise, Friday, January 15th, all of the saints are to refrain from computer usage on a personal level. This would mean separating from Facebook, phone texting, MySpace, Skyping, etc. for 30 days. Computer usage is allowed during this period for business, and school related purposes only. Phone usage should be limited to business, school related, or spiritually induced conversations. Unnecessary small talk, computer googling, and phone game playing should be avoided during this time. Please keep in mind if you separate from something you must dedicate to something better. We will put the Word of God and prayer in these spaces. It may be a challenge for some, but it is not impossible.
January 15th - 25th
We will fast from solid food until 12 noon. Water may be drank prior to noon and 1 glass of 100% juice. (Not cocktail juices, punches, pops, or coffees.) Whole vegetable or fruit juices are recommended. After 12 noon, the meal should not include anything fried. Every saint is encouraged to give up their favorite sweet/food during this time as well. What will you give up?
January 26th - February 4th
We will fast from solid food until 3pm. Water may be drank prior to 3pm and 1 glass of 100% juice. After 3pm, the meal should not include any fried foods, any sweets, or any meats (chicken, turkey, beef, pork, fish, etc) during this 10-day period. This is commonly known as a Daniel Fast. In other words, we will eat vegetarian meals.
February 5th - 7th
We will fast from solid foods until 6pm. Water may be drank and 2 glasses of 100% juice may be drank prior to 6pm. After 6pm only raw vegetables or fruits may be consumed. Nothing cooked.
February 8th - 11th
The church will be opened every day all day and the sanctuary will become the prayer center. There will be round the clock praying. During this time there may be breakout services, (unplanned but led service), preachers will come in without notice and may preach to us, just be ready for whatever. The saints are encouraged to bring items to camp out with Jesus. During this time, raw vegetables and water will remain the diet. Those who do not or cannot utilize the sanctuary should fast until 7pm, drinking only water prior to 7pm. After 7pm you may eat raw vegetables and water.
February 11th - 13th
The church will be opened every day all day and the sanctuary will remain the prayer center. There will be round the clock praying. We will continue the breakout services, preachers will come in without notice and may preach to us. The saints are encouraged to bring items to camp out with Jesus. This will be a complete fast. This will be shut-in time in the sanctuary. Glory shall be seen in new dimensions and saints shall be prepared for mighty visitations and strong miracles. No water or food for these three days. The complete fast is complete at 6pm on February 13th.
The time of purification is officially over at 6am on Sunday February 14th. This is sure to be the sweetest day we will ever experience because the Man Jesus would have a house of purified Levites.
